thelittleboy meets Meet The Nordics
the title is a mouthful, but it'll make sense.
Meet the Nordics is a networking event specifically for Nordic influencers, bloggers and press, to sit, eat aesthetically pleasing food, and discuss fashion sustainability with a bunch of Nordic brands during panel discussions. set in the Villa Copenhagen, I felt like I was walking into a land of luxury (although I was wearing a PrettyLittleThing suit, so gather from that what you will).
Describing itself as an event that showcases “all aspects of sustainability with fashion, beauty, accessories and lifestyle in Scandinavia”, Meet the Nordics is a one of a kind event during fashion week that truly uplifts and brings attention to Nordic brands which are not usually represented in mainstream fashion.
read that again - "specifically for Nordic influencers, bloggers and press". the only thing Nordic about me is that I love IKEA, but I guess you have to fake it 'til you make it.
I was surrounded by the creme de la creme of the Nordic fashion world, including Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week and fashion designers like Soeren Le Schmidt, Nadia Wire, and Designers Remix.
starting early at 8am with a breakfast, and a panel talk on sustainability in the fashion industry post - coronavirus at 9am, and then finally two hours for attendees to chat together, it definitely felt very exclusive, and I felt out of my depth to some extent. at 9am, with two hours thereafter to network with different bloggers and brands, Meet the Nordics is a fashion week extraordinaire, bringing together brands and peoples from all over Scandinavia (and England, obviously).
being able to network and get an insight into what next season's Nordic trends would be, I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity (especially as a nobody blogger from London).
until next season, Copenhagen x
